The last sequence of the Maurya Re song in the movie Don was actually the first to be shot. Months before shoot of the film or song started 5 cameras were placed in different parts of the city of Mumbai to shoot real visarjans (immersions) of Idols of Lord Ganesh on the final day of the Ganesh festival.
This tray was one of several wooden items I picked up at the art department sale after we completed filming The Bourne Supremacy in Goa in early 2004. It had been sourced from the north of India for pennies and used as set decoration as a magazine holder in Jason Bourne’s cottage on the beach.

In The Darjeeling Limited three estranged brothers agree to meet and travel across India a year after their fathers death on a soul-searching train journey. The theme of the titular train is the elephant.
